Join a book club!

There are two book clubs that are Library-sponsored.

The Book Was Better Book Club entertains the age-old question: was the book or the movie better?

Adult Services Librarian Amanda Gibson explains that the idea was born out of a quest to facilitate interesting discussion. People oftentimes like to debate whether the writing – or the brought-to-life version – is best.

“Each month, we will pick a book that has been turned into a movie or TV series, then get together to compare,” Amanda said.

The club will meet on the second Thursday of each month, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Conference Room and on Zoom.

Not Your Mama's Romance Book Club is exactly that - not the book club your mama used to be in! Each month, we read a different book and meet to discuss (with the occassional author visit)!

There are book clubs that meet at the Library. Check out our events calendar to see all groups that meet here!
